PADI CDC – Meet the Team

Meet the Diving Team

PADI Platinum Elite 300 Course Director Kim

PADI Course Director

Hey everyone, My name is Kim, but everyone calls me Alice (long story).

Originally from Holland I have lived in Tenerife for the last 9 years and absolutely love it.

My first ever dive was in Tenerife, at a dive site called Yellow Mountain, which I have subsequently dived round 600 times and still look forward to going back there every time!

I completed my Open water when I was 21 and followed that up with the rest of my core PADI course’s before completing my PADI Divemaster and PADI Instructor courses in 2014. the next few years were a whirlwind and I became a PADI Course Director in 2018, which has to be one of the greatest achievements of my life.

I absolutely love everything about scuba, but the PADI Instructor courses are my favourites to teach.  In the last 3 years I have gained the PADI Platinum award at Course Director level and the Elite 300 award for issuing over 300 certifications per year.

I am hugely proud of our PADI Career Development Centre, here in Tenerife, and hope I get the opportunity to dive and train with you in the future.

PADI Elite Course Director – Nic

PADI Course Director Nic Hi I am Nicola, and you can call me Nic.
I was born in the United Arab Emirates and am now based in Scotland.

I was certified as a PADI Open Water Diver at the age of 12 years old in Abu Dhabi.
Over the next few years I was certified as PADI Advanced Diver in Dubai and then a PADI Rescue Diver in Cyprus.
The Rescue diver course undeniably developed my confidence as a diver and sparked my interest in progressing up the PADI career ladder.
After gaining my PADI Divemaster in 2013, my career within the scuba diving industry skyrocketed and with a lot of passion, hard work and a lot of laughs along the way I certified as a PADI Course Director in 2017.

I love teaching at all levels.
Nothing beats watching students take those first breathes underwater, knowing their diving adventure has just begun.

Most importantly I strive to create passionate and confident divers and instructors that care for the marine environment.

I look forward to meeting you and helping you become the Instructor you want to be.

PADI Elite Staff Instructor Nicole

PADI Elite Staff Instructor Nicole

Hi! My Name is Nicole.

I fell in love with diving doing a PADI Discovery Scuba Dive 2008 in New Zealand.

After that fantastic experience my reason to save up on money was always for my next diving holiday! I was hooked and still am today!

A little more than 2 years ago I decided to make my dream come true and started my journey to become a PADI Professional.

Today I am a PADI IDC Staff Instructor, assisting on IDCˋs in the only PADI Career Development Center in the Canary Islands (where I done my IDC)  and am also an owner of my own PADI 5 Star Dive Resort in the North of Tenerife.

Amazing how much a life can change for the good in such a short time!

PADI Instructor Millie

Hi, I’m Amelia, but (unless I’m in serious trouble) everyone calls me Millie.PADI Instructor Tenerife female
Since moving to the south coast of England when I was a child I’ve been in love with the sea and completely fascinated by the aquatic world.
However, at 18 I moved away from the beach to London to study English Literature, before working as a secondary school English teacher. Although I loved teaching, I soon realised that I needed to work outside, and preferably near or in the water.
I spent many (pretty cold) hours snorkelling around the southwest coastline, until I decided to quit my job, go travelling and take my PADI Open Water Diver course in South Africa. I was instantly hooked and after tearing myself away for six months decided it was time for a new challenge and came to Tenerife to do my Divemaster course. I worked as a Divemaster for a few months at TDA before I built up the courage to chase the dream and train to become an Open Water Scuba Instructor.

Now I share my office with the cuttlefishes and teach my classes underwater.
When I’m not in the sea (or lying on the beach with my nose in a book) you can probably find me snowboarding in the Japanese backcountry or rock climbing in sunny Dorset. I truly believe that life is best lived outside amongst nature and I’m thrilled to be able to nurture appreciation and respect for the underwater world as a PADI Instructor.

PADI Divemaster Becky

PADI Divemaster Becky

Hello, my name is Becky! I am the delightful resident PADI Divemaster from England at the Tenerife Diving Academy.

I am currently staying in Tenerife to help out at the Dive Centre and gain experience of the scuba diving industry before I do my IDC.

I started diving in the summer of 2020 in the island of Crete in Greece and I haven’t stopped since.

During my time here I went from Open Water to Divemaster with over 60 dives and i’m always ready to get back in the water at any opportunity.

In my spare time I like to free dive and create art. My passion is to travel and I am looking forward to a future where I can work as a Dive Instructor all over the world.

You can always recognize me from my big smile and my can do attitude!

PADI Divemaster Sophie

PADI Divemaster Sophie

I am Sophie from Luxembourg. I picked up scuba diving 4 years ago whilst in Mauritius and have been diving around the world ever since!

Places I have dived include the Mediterranean Sea, the Red Sea, the Caribbean, and Australia.

I started my journey at TDA as an Open Water diver, and after completing all of my recreational courses, I successfully completed my PADI Divemaster. I have now joined the Team to gain experience as a Divemaster.

I would describe myself as a true bundle of happiness and energy, and always wearing my biggest smile. I absolutely like challenges of any kind because they usually consist of a first phase where I keep making (stupid) mistakes followed by a very rewarding second phase where I finally achieve the goal, and ultimately grow as a person. Little heads-up: Phase two sometimes appears to be temporarily unavailable. At that point, I just keep going.

Last but not least, I love team sports (particularly Ultimate Frisbee), the sun and the sea and one day I want to be a marine biologist.

Operations and Logistics

PADI Master Instructor Pete

Originally from England, I have been in Tenerife for almost 15 years owning and running a number of Dive Centres.PADI Master Instructor Tenerife

In 2015 we opened our Academy dedicated to PADI Pro’s. With an amazing Team around me, who complete all of the training and diving, my areas of responsibility are operational and logistics.

With such a large Team and lots of divers to look after it makes our days challenging and rewarding.

Anything you need, prior to reserving, you will find me answering your emails!

With some 6,000+ logged dives, in virtually every corner of the world, I have experienced most kinds of diving and aquatic life. My 2 favourites are Tiger Sharks and Fangtooth Moray Eels!

When not running the Dive Centre I can be found enjoying riding my motorbikes or looking after our 4 rescue dogs!
