Starting from zero is a big step — and we understand that
Starting a Zero to Hero Divemaster program is a real commitment — especially if you have never dived before. For many people, it means traveling abroad, stepping outside their comfort zone, and learning completely new skills underwater. That is why we focus on creating a supportive, structured environment where you can build confidence step by step. Some candidates complete the program in around 6 weeks, while others prefer a more relaxed 8-week progression with additional time in our out of the water. There is always the possibility to stay longer if you want more experience before completing your training.

From complete beginner to Divemaster
The Zero to Hero pathway is designed to take you gradually from your very first breaths underwater to professional-level diving confidence. You will begin by learning the fundamentals of scuba diving in calm, controlled conditions before slowly progressing toward deeper dives, rescue skills, leadership experience, and professional-level confidence underwater. The goal is not just to complete certifications, but to become a calm, capable, and confident diver through real experience in the water.
More than just a diving career
Not everyone joins the program because they want to work in diving professionally. Some candidates simply want to become exceptionally skilled and confident divers, spend more time underwater, and experience a completely different lifestyle centered around the ocean. Others use the Zero to Hero pathway as the first step toward a long-term scuba career and eventually continue toward becoming Instructors. — Both paths are equally valid, and the program is designed to support either direction.
Daily life during the Divemaster program
Life during the Zero to Hero Divemaster program is structured, active, and centered around the ocean. Training usually runs 5 days per week, giving you time to rest, explore Tenerife, or simply enjoy being by the sea between training days.
Your days will include:
- scuba training following structured pathway
- learning and practicing new diving skills
- completing theory and classroom sessions
- doing relaxing fun dives in between training dives
As the weeks progress, most candidates notice a major increase in comfort and confidence underwater. Skills that may feel unfamiliar at the beginning gradually become natural through repetition, experience, and time in the water.
